As part of our history unit, we are looking into Indigenous Culture. To help with our research, we went to Cranbourne Gardens. While we were at Cranbourne Gardens, we learned a lot about indigenous culture.

 

The bus ride was 1 hour from our school to Cranbourne Gardens. We mostly walked around the gardens and saw a bandicoot! We also had a couple brakes for lunch and recess at a small park.

 

There were lots of parent helpers that came to our excursion. We went to a small hut and the person supervising us talked about different tools, that the aboriginals used.

After that, we went to a tree that if you put your ear next to it, you would hear a faint dripping noise.

Cyber Safety Scratch Game

Hello everyone! Today I will be posting abut a cyber safety game that I made on scratch junior.

 

The game that I made shows what you should do online in certain situations. If you get an answer right, the plane moves on to the next question. But if you get it wrong, the plane crashes. Either way when you answer a question, the pilot says very “nice” things. I played through the game, the first time answering the questions correct, and the second time answering the questions incorrect.

Nursing home visit

Hello everybody, for a school trip, we went to the nursing home. We met lots of elders and we also shared a bag that had lots of stuff about us, and one of the things was a lie.

 

I saw 6 or 7 elders and showed them the contents of the bag and they tried to guess which one was the lie. I had a lot of fun there and I can tell that the elders did to. Lots of them asked questions about some of the contents in my bag.

 

I really hope that some other people come and visit nursing homes to keep the elders company and happy. I enjoyed it there and so did the others that came.

Perimeter Investigation

Hello everybody, Over the last few weeks, we have been learning about perimeter. I have created a lot of shapes with different perimeters to answer challenges that we had in class.

I learned that each square in my maths grid book, is exactly 1 cm. I also learned that a rectangle can also be any amount of cm, apart from when the number is even. It is also impossible to get an odd perimeter when using a rectangle. Unless you use decimals.

Hello Everybody, as most of you know, my name is Lewis. This post isn’t just about anything, it’s about my avatar.

I made an avatar. The particular circumstances of this event, is because it is a lot more safe to use an avatar instead of my real face. I made my eyes dark green because, it looked that way. My mum has dark green eyes, while my dad has hazel eyes. I also took advice from another student in my class for my hair, and I choose everything else.

If you could have made an avatar, what is one paranormal feature, about you, that you would add? Would you use and avatar on your blog if you had to?
